Marvel United: Multiverse Begins

We received our season 3 Marvel United Kickstarter package in late July. I waited for perfect conditions before I could prime the miniatures, but it also encouraged me to finish the season 1 core box we got a duplicate of last June (with the Spider-Man box).

I had Wasp and Black Widow to finish off and now we have two season 1 boxes painted. We may give one away to someone who enjoys the game, though I have a small attachment to these miniatures since I had improved since the first set I painted.

From the season 3 kickstarter, we also purchased the season 1 promotional box, which included many of the characters we have grown to love in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When the weather conditions were optimal for priming, I emptied our two primer rattle cans with all of the miniatures we were excited to paint.

I started with zenithal style at first, but I changed to priming based on what would be the base coat, white or black. If I’m looking for vibrant colors, I covered the model in white whereas the black was great for the symbiotes like Venom.

I’ve eased into all of the miniatures we have from backing season 3 by going for easiest first, at least, easiest from first appearance. I’m happy with how quickly some can come together and we hope to get them into gameplay soon.

Here are the miniatures we’ve completed so far.

  • Red Hulk: David
  • Werewolf by Night: David
  • Venoms and Carnage: Bruce
  • Cosmic Ghost Rider: Henry
  • War Machine: Bruce
  • Gorr: David
