After Fiddler on the Roof, the director asked if we would be interested in SpongeBob. I’ve seen the memes and have heard of the character. I even watched an episode for research, but I didn’t see the appeal.
But the musical for SpongeBob has become one of my favorites.
Unlike several musical I’ve seen since, SpongeBob isn’t full of tragedy or sad subplots. The positivity in the story and music surprised me, much like Ted Lasso did. I’m equally impressed at the musical director who mixed various artists to compose songs for this.
Lovegood assembled a great cast to match the characters and I’m still enjoying the soundtrack today.
Much like the happy ending, I enjoyed taking the photos for this production with its bright colors and spirits.
