We stayed closer to home to celebrate our anniversary and played tourist in our hometown. It was slightly embarrassing to admit to visitors that we hadn’t experienced some of Portland’s main attractions. I researched a few locations from travel websites and off we went without kids.

We had an amazing time in Sunriver for our anniversary last year. I recorded several video clips to commemorate the weekend, but it took me several tries to get a finished video put together due to technical difficulties.
Our stay last year was the first—and last—time we enjoyed Dave and Christine Vernier’s Sunriver condo with just the two of us. We’ve stayed there five times and it’s bittersweet that the condo is going up for sale. It’s been an amazing benefit to Vernier employees for over twenty years.

For every Fred Meyer, Target, Toys R Us, and Barnes and Noble I visit, I must browse to toy aisle—specifically for LEGOs. You never know when you could run into a deal on these expensive sets.
