Anything for Annie

I’ve grown to appreciate the optimism and hope that Annie’s story brought to my Christmas season. While I was not impressed by the 1982 movie when we watched it for educational purposes, unsurprisingly, I’m fond of Lovegood‘s production.

This is the eighth main stage production I’ve been blessed to capture for Lovegood and their community. One of the actors said after the show, something I’ve felt but couldn’t pinpoint, the people at Lovegood are truly miraculous and special. Their tagline of “theatre at every stage” is a commitment to help everyone grow in their potential and I’m grateful to be a part of the process and product of their generosity.

Jenni got to realize another life dream through a Lovegood production: to play in their band. This production’s music included songs that benefitted from a trombone and she worked hard to give the music character and heart.

Violet and Bruce worked together on crew to help scene transitions go smoothly and received high praise for their work ethic and positivity.

Kadie helped me with recording, which we were able to capture live shows and there were two actresses portraying Annie.

And always, we were happy to have friends and family enjoy the show and support us in our musical adventures.

Praise God for His hand in helping Jenni with sufficient health to shine through ten shows. We’re also grateful that God carried our friend through so she could be an amazing Ms. Hannigan.

We got “knifed” in the middle of the night and I’m grateful for a security camera to catch the culprits.

The talent, creativity, and love poured into these productions like Annie, is such a joy to be a part of. Watching the kids in theater grow up gives me hope for tomorrow.
