This animation is what got it all started:
Jenni can recite it line for line with all the voice nuances and get a great laugh from it. Well, we clicked on to see what other animations were from the same user and found a fun collection of animated clips. They all came from a group “How It Should Have Ended” and we had a blast watching some of the others, in particular:
When we watched the one about “Weird Science,” the character of Chet tickled Jenni’s funny bone. Then we got to thinking about the 80’s era of movies and decided it would be fun to get together with friends and watch some of these classics.
Here is a list we compiled from Rotten Tomatoes, we won’t see all of them, but these were the ones that had nostalgic qualities or something we said we’d maybe watch someday.
- Die Hard
- Princess Bride
- Indiana Jones
- The Goonies
- Romancing the Stone

Great List!!! My all time favorite 80’s movie is “Better off Dead”. It’s the most hilariously strange movie of all time (in my opinion). Now that’s one that I can recite line for line. I have it if you want to borrow it…
Have a great weekend!!
I love how you managed to get the LOTR HISHE video in there- very clever! And now everyone can see it! he he he
I think you need Short Circuit in your list. 🙂
OoO that list is just “inconcivible”;)
Princess Bride,
Indiana Jones,
The Gods Must Be Crazy….all great movies:)
The ’80s had some great movies w/ GREAT quotes:D
What, you forgot UHF by Weird Al Yankovich. A must for all public school teachers who have had to refrain at times from telling it like it is to their students. “You’re so STUPID !!!!”.
Or Back to the Future 1 and “Great Scott Marty, you affected the time-warp continuim”.
